I do not see any harm when you allow the bridge interface to receive tagged packets. These packets will get decapsulated and processed only if you create a matching routable VLAN interface on the bridge. So you filter the traffic bynot addingroutable VLANs on the bridge where it is not necessary.

Try disabling the "Mikrotik Discovery Protocol" on the System page and RSTP on the uplink. This should stop generating any packets from the switch, and maybe will bypass the MAC detection.

Thanks for the "Rx Overruns" report on the CRS305 device. The errors can appear in older versions as well when forwarding packets between different speed interfaces, so it is not this version-specific issue. Looking forward to fixing this in the upcoming release, though.

We noticed the bridge performance drop when CCRs had most of the Ethernet interfaces bridged, and it only seems to affect CCR1016 devices. The drop could be as bad as 50% when you bridge all Ethernets. This fix will be included in the next stable/long-term versions.

Try to enable RSTP on bridge with "protocol-mode=rstp". If you do not want to send BPDUs and ignore any received BPDUs, you can change the bridge port to "edge=yes".

If the setup still does not work, enable dot1x and radius logging and see if you get more details.

Have you enabled the "Independent VLAN Lookup" under the System menu? Have you changed any other default settings apart from VLAN related (e.g. port isolation or LAG)?
See whether disabling RSTP on the management port helps.

Not really, mtxrInterfaceStatsLinkDowns is a counter that shows how many consecutive link downs the interface has (status changes from running to not running). The ifOperStatus shows the current operational state of the interface.

Yes, hardware VLAN switching works fine between bridged ports, however, tagged management access does not work correctly, should be fixed in further beta versions. Perhaps you managed to find out some other issues? Can you share a configuration export?

MTSP support in SwOS will not be implemented in the near future. SwOS is designed to be a simple management tool so that users can create basic networking setups. For more advanced configurations, you should stick with RouterOS.

The switch does not forward the ICMP TTL exceeded and it appeared in SwOS 2.9 version. We look forward to fixing this in upcoming SwOS versions. As a workaround, you could try to use RouterOS instead.

Switch by default sends out periodic (every 2s) RSTP BPDU packets, you see these flashes probably due to this reason. You can try to disable RSTP at some 1Gbps port and see if flashing stops.

We have found that there is a software issue with DHCP Snooping when you use VLAN for your access ports. When VLAN tags are not used, DHCP Snooping should work as expected. The fix will be included in following SwOS releases.
