Re: Suggestion for 2,5Gb/s network

我没有意识到的y routers with a bunch of 2.5Gb ports. You could kind of make one with MikroTik gear, but you'd have to get a router with a bunch of SFP+ ports and put S+RJ10 modules in each port you wanted to use with cat5e/6/6a/8 cabling. That's a bunch of $. US list price (I'm in the US so tha...

Re: Router Sizing

I'm not sure routing between VLANs on that switch would work for this setup, and I mean it about the "not sure" part. I don't see anything in the manual about firewall capabilities, and I have this hunch you'd need them if any traffic is going between the guest VLAN and others and you migh...

Re: CRS305 to Wireless Router - Lan Route

It probably is a routing or address assignment issue (which would cause problems with routing), but I doubt you can fix it by adding a static route to your WiFi router. Do the machines connected to the CRS305 have internet access if the WiFi router is disconnected? (might have to reboot or at least ...

Re: Unsupported ethernet card solarflare

I can't help you much with this. I don't really deal with VMs. Solarflare yes, but not VMs. I'm in the financial trading business and Solarflares are very popular in my line of work. Usually they're used in bare metal Linux machines. I'm pretty familiar with Solarflares, but really only on bare meta...

Re: ipv6 only works when pinging from the router[SOLVED]

Removing the default route did it! IPv6 is working now. Thank you for helping yet another newbie with their first RouterOS device. :) 7.1.x is bugged and doesn't learn the gateway from RAs? Now I'm wondering how on earth I had IPv6 working on 7.1.3, though I do have a theory. I went through a "...

Re: ipv6 only works when pinging from the router[SOLVED]

Can I correctly infer that Comcast is giving you a /64 and you're wanting to distribute that internally, so each internal host has a public IPv6 address? I see no IPv6 NAT configured. Is that intended? I can get a /64. I tried that. It didn't help. Exact same behavior. They'll also give me a /61, /...

Re: ipv6 only works when pinging from the router[SOLVED]

I set up the RouterOS packet sniffer to stream to Wireshark running on a Windows machine. It looks like traffic originating from the RB5009 to an Internet address is sent to a router but any traffic from one of the machines on my network results in the RB5009 sending a neighbor solicitation. It does...

Re: RB5009 support

Just curious, what is the temperature of the S+RJ10 module during the test? I bought Wiitek SFP-10G-T and It is not made by MikroTik but it's temperature is 43C max. Load doesn't actually seem to do much to it's temperature. My S+RJ10 idles around 47-48C and only goes up to 50C whacking it with rep...

ipv6 only works when pinging from the router[SOLVED]

At some point in the last few weeks ipv6 quit working properly. I have an RB5009UG+S+IN running 7.2.3, though I tried downgrading to 7.1.3 since the last time I'm sure it was working was before upgrading. I'm back on 7.2.3 now. I have Comcast residential cable Internet service (in Chicago) and a pre...

Re: IPv6 help needed

I have a similar problem, and I'm wondering if it might be my recent upgrade from 7.1.3 to 7.2.3. ipv6 used to work, and it's not that set-default-route=yes mistake in the DHCP client. I had to set it to no to get it working in the first place. I get no route to host when trying to ping an ipv6 addr...

Re: RB5009 support

Today I've got Wiitek SFP-10G-T. (It supports 1G,2.5G,5G,10G) First, I connect my PC with 2.5G NIC to SFP+ at 2.5G,full. Download speed test (ether1 advertised as 1G) shows same ~900Mbs. When I turned ether1 advertisement to 2.5G,full, my download speed drops to 95Mb/s (new firmware 7.2rc6) What wa...

Re: v7.2.2 [stable] and v7.2.3 [stable] are released!

Upgrading from 7.1.3 to 7.2.3 does not fix the RB5009UG+S+IN port speed mismatch issues with the 2.5Gb port. I have a NetGear CM2050V cable modem with Comcast "1.2Gb" service connected to the 2.5Gb port on the RB5009UG+S+IN and a CRS326-24S+2Q-RM connected to the 10Gb port, plus a couple N...

Re: DHCPv6 Client not working, unable to get and deliver IPv6

I just went through some ipv6 setup fun on Comcast/Xfinity last weekend. Thankfully I was able to get it working after a couple of hours. I haven't used pppoe so I don't know how it's supposed to be set up, but you are getting the same DHCP error I had so maybe I can give you a couple things to try....

Re: RB5009 Slow Speed 2.5G Bug Report (as requested)

我得到关于jookraw一样的性能using a similar setup though the 2.5G NIC I'm pointing it at is a RealTek rather than an Intel. It seems the RB5009 2.5G is ok talking to a RealTek. So far I've just been playing with it. I'm new to RouterOS and haven't deployed it yet. When I do I'l...
