Re: Newsletter 78 with 1GBPS WIRELESS PRODUCT ANNOUNCEMENT!

Normis: we have bought a couple of RBwAPG-60ad. The interface of this products is the same of other MikroTik products (both winbox and webfig), but the wireless interface lack of Tx power level. That seems strange. We think it could be useful to use only the needed power for the specific use case. T...

Re: Newsletter 78 with 1GBPS WIRELESS PRODUCT ANNOUNCEMENT!

1.CPU是超过能力。没有1 gbitport limitation, speed would be greater. The tests are done over the link, not from wireless-to-wireless. Thanks normis, that's sounds good. Have you measure the bit error rate over this link at near 1Gbps speed ? What ber we should expect in ideal...

Re: Newsletter 78 with 1GBPS WIRELESS PRODUCT ANNOUNCEMENT!

I will contact my distributor immediately. Some other questions for normis. This RBwAPG-60ad kit, is advertized as: "Wireless Wire... This amazing kit replaces your Gigabit ethernet cable..." So would think that because it replaces a gigabit cable, it have to do 1Gbps between Eth-Wireless-...

Re: CHR for wireless bridge

I'm not sure where CHR enters the picture here. Wouldn't you just use a wireless device of sufficient performance and put it in bridge mode? Why have a CHR when you want to do only bridging? (I could understand it when you have a limited-function wireless device and need more sophisticated routing)...

CHR for wireless bridge

I would like to setup a wireless bridge using CHR, because we need more performance and better BER We started using NetMetal5 with qca9880 but with 1300 mbps phy link, max troughput was 120 mbps full duplex TDMA with 10E-4 BER. Too much errors for replacing a cable. So we try RouterOS on old x86 har...

Re: Suggestion for ultra-short link

Yes it's a very specific ( industrial ) project. I would like to use attenuators because in that way I've not a real spatial stream transmission, and I can put each device near to the other, on a table. Otherwise I'll catch interference of other devices (hop) and I'll lost the control of the simulat...

Re: Suggestion for ultra-short link

Dual chain is good. But it seems it has embedded antennas, while I need to have esternal plug to attach some attenuator because I'll conduct some test in lab enviroment. I need to add more explanation points: I'll built a test in a lab with 11 devices so to have wireless 10 hops; Each hops between w...

Re: Suggestion for ultra-short link

hAP lite are capable of trasmitting full duplex ?
Shuold I choose a device with dual radio to get a true full-duplex point to point setup ? (using protocolos live nv2 or nstreme2)
5.7-5.8 GHz band could be better for such short distance ?

Suggestion for ultra-short link

Hi guys, I need some suggestion about a very special configuration: point to point link; distance only 1 meter (cannot use cables, only wireless, these are detachable and moving objects ); ( true ) full-duplex; low latency, throughput is not important, but reaching high troughput is a plus so AC rad...
