Thank you very very much both of you!
Best wishes in new 2021 too, for you and all others. Such fast responses are so nice thing. Tnx.
I set EoIP MTU to 1500 on both sides, and also unchecked Clamp TCP MSS on both sides. I also set MRRU to 1600 on pptp server as well as client side, but unfortunately it still doesn't work.
When IPTV STB is directly connected on main location it gets a private IP from 10.0.0.0/8 range, so I think that ISP is doing that through some DHCP server. This makes me thinking that a dhcp might also be a problem? I saw on the forum that there are recommendations to put dhcp server directly on bridge interface instead of regular ether interface so remote clients will be able to get ip from that dhcp server. In my case I can not do that because ISP is giving private IP to my IPTV STB, so wondering if this might also be a bottleneck.
Tnx也指pptp安全!我在中科院e scenarion security is not so important as this link tunnel will only be utilised for iptv while all other remote communication and management is already going through my l2tp/ipsec setup on that mikrotik. I adore Mikrotik especially for its security opportunities that I always try to utilise. But I think that this iptv can be as simple as possible. Nothing is exposed. Unfortunately it is not working for now nor simple nor complicated. :-)
Uf, when I was thinking about the idea I tought that it will be achievable with couple of hours of trial and error for non pro amateur as I am, but it seems that it is much harder.
Do you have some more suggestions and options for me to try? Tnx very much.
