Hi everyone! Tell me please what could this be?

Installed on board an 8-gigabit memory.
In the BIOS also shows the 8 gigabytes of memory installed.

But when I do the output of resources:

[admin@MikroTik] /system resource> print
uptime: 14m50s
version: 5.4

free-memory: 1917732KiB
total-memory: 1943080KiB

cpu: Intel(R)
cpu-count: 8
cpu-frequency: 2933MHz
cpu-load: 1%
free-hdd-space: 1866744KiB
total-hdd-space: 1933392KiB
write-sect-since-reboot: 1024
write-sect-total: 1024
architecture-name: x86
board-name: x86
platform: MikroTik

Maybe someone has seen this?
In what direction to dig?

Thank you in advance for your reply.

MikroTik RouterOS supports 2GB of RAM maximum.

There is no plans to increase amount of supported memory in the next versions.

Dear Mikrotik team!

Why so low memory amount? If we use several bgp4 tables, for example RR system or RS system - 2 gigs are too low...

RAM prices are very cheap recently:lol:
it is great if mikrotik changes its decision to let ROS support of bigger max RAM. this is useful when one uses kvm a lot.

btw, does ROS get any benefit on faster RAM and dual channel mode?
