Looking for best solution for routing between two networks

Mon May 19, 2014 2:06 am

Alright guys,

This one should be kind of fun and pretty simple. So I have two seperate networks at an industrial site. I can not technically bridge them for legal reasons (The states property here is not allowed to be connected to the internet). Lets say network A and network B. I have a RB411 on network A that sends out a 900 MHz wireless signal and I want to extend it to a location where network B is the only available network. Network A is physically right next to network B at the 411's location. I want to put another 411 board at the location where I will be extending (via a mesh config) the WLAN.

Here are my initial thoughts:

1) Buy a 433 with 3 eth ports and give eth2 an accessible address on the other network.
2) Use a 750UP I have already on site to connect to both networks but what is the best method for routing between the two?

Any other thoughts you all may have? I know there are many ways to do this. I just want the one that will be the most reliable. I have ample resources for this project so shoot away!

Expecting the networks have different addresses. Put a ptp link between with third network address and route packets from one network to other network thru this third network. Firstly you need reliable link, to set routing then is easy.
