Dynamic Routing is widely used by providers and corporations to ensure fast and automatically adaptations in case of topology changes, to provide redundancy, robustness and to allow administrative facilities. However, dynamic routing can be target of intentional and no intentional attacks that can cause a lot of problems, like located connectivity loss, total network disruption, and serious intentional threats like routes hijacking. For fighting against such attacks there are commonly accepted best practices for Internal and External Routing, that one can apply to minimize the risks and consequences. In this presentation we intend to show a conceptual overview of the threats and the best practices that one should adopt on Mikrotik RouterOS, as countermeasures to thwart such attacks. Appropriate routing filters, inner measures and configuration details will be discussed to propose better secure deployments and a real case scenario will be accessed to show the filters and configurations. In this presentation I will describe about how the MIMO technology works and important parameters which is involve in a MIMO radio link such as, RX level and importance of RX level of opposite chain, what is the polarity and cross polarization of the antenna ?, what is the port to port isolation of the antenna, what is the VSWR and how this parameters can effects in radio link performance.
The OSPF was designed for approximately 70 routers in one area. We have built a network with more than 250 OSPF routers with an average of 9 5GHz transmitting cards at one point. In this short demonstration, I will be showing what we have come up with in terms of attenuation, bandwidth management and open-source and freeware remote configuration.
How to provide services to the customer without of need to travel on site? How to correct wrong settings and mistakes in network client equipments? How to detect and solve some networking problems? What we can do if the device does not responding? How to solve the problem, if the device responding but we can not login to the device. I believe these questions are important for all of us. MikroTik ROS has some possibilities to help us to make our work easy and more comfortably. Using of the presented MikroTik services in some cases seem maybe atypically, but they solve the problems and get the correct results quickly, without traveling anywhere.
