Speaker Profiles and Presentation Abstracts

Internet Exchange: Peering with RouterOS in the IXs

For managing peers in the Internet Exchange RouterOS is a perfect choice: powerful, flexible, safe and affordable.

IPv6 BGP peering with HE as backup

IPv6 enabling of network with or without IPv6 ready upstream provider

UserManager: a free radius server for Wireless, Hotspot, PPP, users and DHCP.

The UserManager is a package for RouterOS, a powerful radius server that can be used for managing authentication in: Wireless, Hotspot, PPP, Users and DHCP. And it's free.

Roskilde Festival: Building a redundant city-sized network in less than two weeks

At Roskilde Festival, the largest festival in the North and second largest festival in Europe, with approximately 160,000 attendees and volunteers, a network infrastructure is built every year, to offer network services for public guest wifi, credit card terminals, artists, press and much more. Everything is planned and built by teams of volunteers.

Both Mikrotik SXT's (more than 100) and RB800's are a vital part of the core for wireless links, for both redundancy and hard-to-reach-by-cable areas using both PTP and PTMP.

NOTE: Title and description are subject to changes :)

Best practice using Mikrotik as WISP CPE, make sure you secure and allow remote diagnostics
